 Spiritual Training

Train yourself to be godly. For physical training is of some value, but godliness has a value for all things, holding promise for both present life and the life to come. Watch your life and doctrine closely. Preserve in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.

~1 Time. 4:7-8~

Someone once wrote: " I need a pasture who is spiritually stronger than I am, who can lead rather than wondering around in the wilderness not knowing right from wrong because of what society dictates."

Impressive churches, programs and charismatic leaders will not necessarily bring people back to the church. I know of many small congregations that constantly attract new people. It happens because their focus is the love for God. The most important test is not how someone preaches or how brilliantly they are able to communicate. The question is whether they love the lord. Paul writes to a young Timothy that he should watch his life and doctrine. In so doing he would save himself and those who hear his preaching.

A life of integrity is what we need. Our life should reflect our doctrine, not contradict it. This kind of behavior is only possible if we train ourselves to be godly. If we live lives that reflect God's love, we can change other people's lives as well as our own.
